National Night Out recap

The committee discussed the year’s National Night Out event. The addition of A-frame stop signs appeared to reduce mid-road crossings by about 10%, and the signs can be reused for future events. Price Chopper suggested moving the golf course activity closer to the store and noted some volunteer parking issues in their lot. The band area was well received, and Snookies’ decision to close their north entrance proved very helpful for traffic flow.

The committee also discussed whether to invite more vendors or businesses in future years. Beaverdale Nutrition expressed interest in participating, but expanding to additional vendors may require allowing all interested businesses and potentially implementing a vendor fee, possibly to be donated to Westminster.

Volunteer coverage was strong, and the committee extended appreciation to all helpers, with special thanks to Brent for his efforts before and after the event.

Meeting went well – to discuss further separating candidate forums/introductions from the regular QM.

Discussed communications for the event. Josh has most planning covered. BNA to provide help with mass email, Facebook, posters, and signs(?).
